Have you ever seen people who get possessive over their ministry?I have especially seen this in "prophets" but others as well. People will get a word and then act as if they have a possession of God. They will get "a revelation" and act as if they can barter it. Some will even use their ministry as weight and influence against others for their own personal gain. Whose "word" is it anyway? Whose "ministry" is it? Does it "belong" to the person who gave it or to God? And WHO is the "word" or "ministry" for? Is it for the Body, or for the ones "the minister" selects? I don't think so! If the Spirit gave the gift, it is for the Body to profit with all. If God gives a "word" or a "ministry," it is safe to say that He gives it without partiality.
5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. 9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.
That does not mean to say that we don't respect copyright laws and ask permission to use someone else's work--that is a deserved courtesy. But when people act as if they control the powers and grace of God as if it was their own, it is sin.
I have found that the more of God's good grace that you give to others, the more it will come back to you!
