"Effectual Doors"

Proverbs 15:22 NIV -- Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

A WORD FROM PASTOR JANA ALCORN

Leader, this is a season of effectual doors that God has set before us. It is time to take advantage now of open doors. There is a door of opportunity that is directly in front of many right this very moment. The awareness of all that this entails will come step by step, as we walk in fuller obedience to the Lord’s purposes for our lives and ministries.

(Rev 3:8 KJV) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Obviously, there are doors that can be presented to you in at least three ways:

    1. Doors that your flesh opens.
    2. Doors that demons open.
    3. Doors that the Lord opens.

Front-liner, it is time to exercise discernment so that we may know what is in front of us! Personally, I know what it means for flesh to open doors. This always leads to some carnal end by some carnal means. I also know what it is for demons to open a door. Just before my early ministry, a deceiving spirit came to me to entice me to abort the purposes of God for my life. The spirit that came to me was as if it were an “angel of light.”

(2 Cor 11:14 KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

This was nothing more than a demonic door of escape from the perfect will of God. By the grace of God, it didn’t take me long to realize that this was not from God, but a door opened by demonic influence to avert my intent in the Lord Jesus. Leader, be aware of those doors that are set before you by demonic strategy!

And then there are doors that the Lord opens. When the Lord opens a door, no man can shut it. Flesh can’t stop what God wants to do! For many of you there will be doors open. Leader, may I tell you something about doors? Doors provide, not only an entrance, but doors also give an exit.

Leader, I am strongly led to tell you -- God has a door that can get you out! He knows the way! Some of you who are reading this are in overwhelming temptation. God has promised that with every temptation there will be a door with a huge red EXIT sign over it!!!! This is your door out! Take it!!!!! Immediately!!!!!

Some of you may be involved in soulish relationships that bind you. I see an open door that no one can shut! Some of you may be involved in business practices that you need to sever. I see an open door! Some of you need to release staff members. I see an open door!

I want to share these final thoughts on doors.

    1. Doors of sin must be shut through repentance and obedience. (Gen 4:7 KJV) If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

    2. Learn to appropriate, by faith, the Blood of protection over the doors of your life. (Exo 12:23 KJV) For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

    3. Some doors will lead you into and require greater dedication. (Exo 21:6 KJV) Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever. 4. Sometimes, when you obey God’s command to close a door, miracles will happen. (2 Ki 4:4 KJV) And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 5. Sometimes God will open a door for you to get rid of a Jezebel in your life. This door may not be open long. (2 Ki 9:3 KJV) Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

    6. Sometimes God gives us doorkeepers and porters of the doors of our lives and ministries. These porters will assist you to be able to discern the seasons of God in your ministry. (2 Chr 23:4 KJV) This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors.

    7. If there is a door in front of you that needs to be opened, the voice of God can move that door! There is nothing too difficult for the Lord! (Isa 6:4 KJV) And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

    8. A great door can bring many adversaries. (1 Cor 16:9 KJV) For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

    9. Expect God to open doors for you. Some of you are just one relationship from your dream! (2 Cor 2:12 KJV) Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord.

    10. Pray for effective doors to broaden the scope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Col 4:3 KJV) Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds.

    11. Don’t worry about man closing doors that God has opened. (Rev 3:8 KJV) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

INSIDE THE SEED

(Acts 17:6 KJV) And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.

Leader, start turning your world upside down in Jesus’ Name!

MODEL, MENTOR, WATCH, DELEGATE, MULTIPLY!!!

LEADERSHIP LINES

    Brokeness will cause you to abandon your own soulish resources.

    Hardness and bitterness must be dealt with in every leader.

    Decide to win.

    God is capable of reviving both you and your ministry.

    Eat the Word and drink the Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD

What I have closed, don’t try to open. I am releasing you from ties of the soul that have bound you. I am giving both an entrance and an exit. There is a press in the spirit realm at this time. I am providing a way for you. When the doors are closed in your life to the enemy, you will see My victory. The things that have been placed in your spirit will begin to unfold and you will see that I have moved in such a way that no man can shut what I have opened for you. I am going to open these doors to show my love and my purposes through you. Don’t forget that it is never by your might; it is never by your power, but it is by My Spirit, says the Lord!
